§ 18-21. Delivery to police department; return to finder if not claimed.

Any person finding lost personal property in the city shall, within 24 hours thereafter, deliver such property to the police department of the city. Upon the delivery of such property, the police department shall give to the finder a receipt therefor, describing in detail such personal property. If the owner of the property does not claim the same within a period of 90 days, the lost property shall be returned to the finder.
