§ 27-1. State laws adopted.

(a)

Pursuant to the authority conferred by R.S. 32:41(C), the city and the governing authority of the city adopt by reference all of the provisions of Louisiana Revised Statutes Title 32, as it currently exists, and adopt all future amendments, supplements, modifications, revisions, deletions and changes, as well as all regulations of the state department of transportation and development and the secretary of the state department of public safety adopted pursuant thereto, with respect to all streets, highways or public ways located within the corporate limits of this municipality, except for such provisions and regulations as by their nature can have no application in the city and except as otherwise provided in this Code or by ordinance.

(b)

Any person violating such provisions as provided in paragraph (a) shall be punished as provided in section 11-4 of this Code.
