§ 27-28. Implementation; installation and maintenance.

From time to time the city police department is authorized to recommend implementation of traffic control devices. With the approval of the city department of engineering, such traffic control devices shall be implemented and the appropriate signs, signals or markings shall be installed and maintained by the city. Any recommendations regarding traffic control devices made by the city police department and approved by the city department of engineering may be modified or altered by the city council so long as such devices conform to the state manual and specifications. A public hearing shall be required prior to the implementation of any program regarding one-way streets.
