§ 27-108. Equipment for motorcycles and motor-driven cycles.

  • (a)

    Rearview mirror. Every motorcycle or motor-driven cycle manufactured or assembled after December 31, 1972, of a type subject to registration in this state, shall be equipped with a mirror mounted on the left side of the vehicle and so located as to reflect to the driver a view of the highway for the distance of at least 200 feet to the rear of the vehicle.

    (b)

    Speedometer. All motorcycles and motor-driven cycles shall be equipped with a properly operating speedometer.

    (c)

    Handlebars. No person shall operate any motorcycle with handlebars more than 15 inches in height above the portion of the seat occupied by the operator.

    (d)

    Exhaust. All motorcycles and motor-driven cycles, shall have an exhaust system that will not create excessive noises.
