§ 29-21. Provision of ambulance services.

  • (a)

    No person shall conduct, maintain or operate any ambulance on any street, alley, or public way or place in the city unless such person possesses a current accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS).

    (b)

    Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a), any person not so accredited but who possesses a valid occupational license to operate an ambulance within the city as of the effective date of this article shall attain the accreditation required by this section within two years of the effective date of this article. The provisions of this subsection shall expire and have not effect two years after the effective date of this article.
