§ 2-163. Appointment of assistant during periods of disability, in mayor's discretion.

  • Where the mayor is disabled and his disability does not qualify as inability to serve, the mayor may, at his sole discretion, appoint an appointive administrative officer, subject to the mayor's direction and supervision, as the acting mayor. However, after five consecutive working days, the provisions for an acting mayor contained in section 2-162 shall apply.
