§ 6-87. Trapping, hunting, molesting, etc., of birds prohibited; exception.

  • It shall be unlawful to trap, hunt, shoot or molest in any manner any bird or wildfowl, or to rob bird nests or wildfowl nests; however, if starlings or other birds are found to be congregating in such numbers in a particular locality that they constitute a nuisance or a menace to health or property in the opinion of the health authorities of the state, then in such event, such health authorities shall have the right to order the destruction of the birds in such numbers and in such manner as may be deemed advisable for the purpose of abating such nuisance.
